RITA'S CHRISTMAS TOY SHOP

This Buttercup made a wonderful little Christmas Shop.
I enjoyed creating this winter scene.
It was a first for me and it was so much fun.
The house was sprayed with grey fleck stone.
I liked the look and texture.
Twisted red and green pipe cleaners were glued
to the corners for trim.
Cotton batting made the snow.
A manger appears on the left.
My dad always did scenes under our Christmas tree
and these figures were leftovers from my childhood.
The soldiers standing guard as well as the shoppers
were created from clothespins.

I was so pleased with our shop interior.
The carousel in the center is a music box.
The Santa upstairs was really a find.
He is seated at a desk with a list and he is drinking a coke.
It was a tree ornament we found in a Christmas Shop in SC.
All the toys as well as the shelves
came from our very favorite store, DOLLAR TREE.
Just walk through the toy area where they have
packages and packages of little things--
dolls, cars, planes, ships, animals etc.
There are two wagons on the right.
They were both refrigerator magnets.
I love it when all the pieces just seem so right.
