RITA'S REBECCA FINISHED ROOMS

As with Valerie’s Lady Ashley, I will give 3 views of each room.
Hopefully you will get to see more detail.  E-mail us if you have any questions!

The kitchen was a very large room to work with.
All the furniture is Melissa and Doug.
Valerie very generously gave me the hutch from her set,
since she had no room for it in her kitchen.  It made a complete wall for me.

Thanks Valerie!!!
The wall cupboard above the sink is a cut off of one of Michael’s hutches.
All of the throw rugs that you see in the various rooms are cuttings from washcloths.
The doggie bowls in the foreground were little plastic bowls glued to a woodsie.
I used tiny cork beads cut for the food and circles cut from a baggie for the water.
It’s quite believable.

The upholstered furniture is Dollar Tree stuff redone.
The rug in this room was a plush stripped upholstery fabric.
The greenery in the corner is just dried springs in a large bead.
Lamps are bead and creamer cups. Two tiny dog figurines sit on the end tables.

The hallway shows off a collection of little animals.
The furniture was odd pieced painted to match.

A cutting from the wallpaper was used for trim on the bench.
The wall light was fashioned from beads and a toothpaste cap.
The little chest was a DT dresser.
I cut the mirror off because I thought it filled

the need better without the mirror.

This room was hard to arrange.
Although it was a large room every wall had openings
that made it difficult to set furniture in place.

All the chests are repainted DT items.
The bed is made from scratch,as is the chaise lounge.
The leaves on the wall above the vanity are costume jewelry.
The pillows on the bed were made from tiny scraps and just added for accent.
The doily on the floor fills an empty space quite nicely.
There is the usual array of bead perfume bottles and jewelry on the vanity.

The nursery is completely furnished with DT items.
I just added the same fabric as the curtains to the pads on the furniture.

The large bears on the wall are cutout from wall paper.

The hobby horse in the corner and the Mickey and Minnie were all DT finds.
The rug is plush pink fur.

I love this room.  It is so colorful.  Pressed form is the floor covering.
The furniture was all odds and ends that I just
painted and decorated to tie it all together.
Donald Duck was a DT find.

The basketball, golf club lantern and croquet mallet were all improvised.
The basket ball is a painted wooden ball,
the croquet mallet is a narrow dowel handle and a wider dowel base,
the lantern is a bead with a woodsie glued to the top and bottom with a wire handle,

and the golf club is a wire bent and flattened with a tape wound handle.
The ladybug and butterfly on the wall are little erasers.

This is the game room.  There is a started jigsaw puzzle on the table and
a checker game and a Chinese checker game set up on the side table.
Boxes of games sit on the floor under the table and a dart board hangs on the wall.
All games thanks to Jim’s Printables.

Last but not least, the bathroom.  I used a bamboo type placemat for the flooring.

I was happy with the result.  The little stands for the towels were made from

craft sticks, and cuttings from the placemat made the shelves.
The rubber duckies on the floor are erasers.

The scale is a disk with a bit of vinyl for the top and half a bead for the dial.
The mirror is actually a small purse mirror and the lights above,
which picked up the camera light, are pony beads with a small bead attached.
Again the rugs are plush washcloth cut to size.

I use a product called “Fray Chek” to keep the ends from raveling.
Hope you enjoyed your visit to my “Rebecca.”
It was a true find and a “Labor of Love”.
