RITA'S REBECCA LANDSCAPING

The
Rebecca is now completed.

The
little trees are sprigs of dried flowers and
the pink tree in the front
is also dried flowers that look like large spring blooms.
The length of the stems will determine how tall
your tree will be.
I find these dried flowers make realistic
looking trees.

The
shrubs in front of the porch are made from lichen.
It can be found in Michael’s and hobby stores that
carry trains.
It is used in many train layouts.
On the right of the picture (if you look very hard)
you will see my
trademark
piece of coal.
It is a tribute to my Dad who worked in the coal
mines of
Pennsylvania.
The little figures on either side of the door were a second hand store
find.
The walkway was cut from brick plastic sheeting and the grassy area is
green felt.

The
swans were a second hand store find
that I thought made a lovely yard
sculpture.
I mixed white aquarium stone with white glue and spread them
around the base for a more dramatic look.

For
the patio I used the same trim that I used on the porch.
The birdhouse
is one that is used in potted plants.
I found this one at Michael’s.
The tree is another type of dried flowers that made up nicely.
Along the base of the fencing barely visible on the right are solar
lights
made from a clear triangular bead, a piece of toothpick and another bead
for support.
A birdbath is barely visible behind the tree.
Looks like a great day for the family to enjoy the beautiful weather.
