VALERIE'S GINGERBREAD HOUSE

All our storybook fantasies of Hansel and Gretel
 and yummy treats comes to life in this
 darling house with its vintage Renwal furnishings.

 

This is Valerie's special little Gingerbread house. 
She out did herself.  Buttons grace the house as shutters. 
 They also made the lovely cobblestone walk. 
Very colorful and original,
her fence utilizes candles for the pickets. 
Rick rack and lace trim some of the seams
in the wood as well as outline the windows. 
Pipe cleaner candy canes adorn the front of the house. 
Little eraser rubber ducks decorate the front lawn. 
Flower beds sport bead fantasy flowers
and pompoms outline the beds. 
Her clothespin doll granny stands in the doorway
offering a plate of cupcakes.

The interior is showing off some of her
special childhood treasures. 
The furniture is all Renwal. 
The kitchen furnishings show rooster decals. 
Each of the other rooms also have
decaled Renwal furnishings. 
These pieces were on display at the
Onslow County Museum (December 2004-April 2005).
