RITA'S ST. ANN'S CHURCH

A house of worship that welcomes everyone
to spend a quiet time in meditation.

I enjoyed turning this Buttercup into St. Ann's Chapel.

I had to cut two new windows on the side
to give it more of a church look.
Transparencies cut from large blister packs
were used for the windows.
I made the stained glass using
gray pearl fabric paint to outline the panes.
I then filled the sections with the stained glass liquid
 found in any craft store.
I bricked the exterior with  brick sheets cut to size.
I used the same material for the walkways.
A Christmas tree topper became the spire.
I spray painted it gold and glued a little gold cross to the top.

The statuary in the meditation grotto
was found in the Dollar Tree.  The silver mesh bench
was a tree ornament also from Dollar Tree.

I had to cut the second floor away
to give height to the ceiling
The ceiling is painted blue with sequin stars randomly glued .  The pews were benches we found in a dollar store
(not Dollar Tree).
They were small for a regular dollhouse,
but worked nicely in the smaller Buttercup.
I added the red velvet seat cushions for accent.
Gold, lace and white fabric dressed the altar.
Beads glued together on a toothpick
ending with a cake candle holder finished the candle sticks.
The tabernacle on the left is a night stand
painted gold with a crown top.
Again beads on a toothpick serve as the base support.
