VALERIE'S GENERAL STORE

For the shopping adventurer in all of us.
Here is a nostalgic look at a rural store off the beaten path.
A slower paced shopping experience.

Valerie used so much of her imagination in creating this store.
She very generously gave it to friend.

This general store was reminiscent of a bygone day.
The colored awning and door shade added such a wonderful touch.
Flower boxes show off their many different blooms.
Notice the board offering the special of the day.
The checker board is set up on a barrel.
The chairs are odd pieces with upholstered seats.
They are waiting for two players to take their seats and begin to play.
A paper boy clothespin doll has his eye on the wagon in front of the store.
The wagon is actually a refrigerator magnet.

A bench provides seating for a teddy bear and
a flower cart also sits off to the left.
On the right is a wrought iron table and chairs
(Dollar Tree specials) for sitting and sipping a drink.

The interior is a hodgepodge of many different items.
The two shelves (from Dollar Tree) were already stocked with items
so they added a perfect touch.
There are hats, vegetables, posters, dishes, canned goods,
toys and a variety of other items.
The shopper in her lavender stylish outfit is enjoying
browsing the stores many items.
A basket hold lovely red apples and
a box holds a variety of canned goods.
The second view displays bolts of fabric.
There is also a better view of one of the ready stocked shelves.
Two shoppers are browsing this area of the store.
There is certainly something for everyone.
